COVID-19 Vaccine or Booster

Stay protected this winter with a COVID-19 vaccine or booster at Pure Pharmacy. Booster doses help reduce the risk of serious COVID-19, and the HSE recommends seasonal doses for those at higher risk.

COVID-19 vaccinations are free of charge and can be booked online or by contacting your local Pure Pharmacy.

Who Is Eligible

You will be offered a dose if you are:

• Age 60 or older

• Age 18–59 living in a long-term care facility

• Age 6 months to 59 years with a weakened immune system or a condition that places you at high risk of serious illness

• A healthcare worker

• Pregnant (boosters are recommended during pregnancy)

If you are aged 18–59 and not listed above, you can still request a booster, but eligibility will be verified against HSE and Irish Pharmacy guidelines.

Timing Between Doses

• 1st Booster: Wait at least 3 months after your second vaccine dose or a confirmed COVID-19 infection (6 months for 12–15 year-olds unless immunocompromised).

• 2nd Booster: If you are over 65 or immunocompromised (12+ years old), wait a minimum of 4 months after your 1st booster or positive COVID-19 infection.

Important Information

• Your eligibility will be checked on the day of the appointment in accordance with HSE and Irish Pharmacy regulations.

• If you do not meet current guidelines or the required time interval has not passed since your last vaccine or infection, your appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled.
