Thyroid Health Test (€45)

This test is for individuals aged 18 and over.

A blood test that evaluates thyroid function by measuring key hormones involved in metabolism, energy regulation, and overall hormonal balance. This test helps investigate symptoms such as fatigue, weight changes, and mood disturbances.

Markers Covered:

TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone):

Assesses thyroid gland function and hormone regulation.

Free T3 (Triiodothyronine):

Measures active thyroid hormone levels to assess metabolism.

Free T4 (Thyroxine):

Evaluates thyroid hormone production and gland activity.

Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Antibodies:

Screens for autoimmune thyroid conditions such as Hashimoto’s disease.

Important Information Before Your Appointment:

·       You should fast for a minimum of 8 hours before providing a blood sample. This means you should not eat or drink anything, except for water. We encourage you to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated ahead of your appointment.

·       Please refrain from smoking or chewing gum prior to your appointment.

·       Do not stop taking any prescribed medication prior to your appointment.

·       Avoid rigorous exercise 48 hours prior to your appointment.

·       Please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated appointment time.

·       Please note this service is for over 18s only. Minors will not be tended to, and our team may ask for ID if you look under the age of 25.
