This blood test screens for key markers related to diabetes health and cardiovascular risk, providing essential insights into glucose metabolism and lipid levels. It helps with the early detection, monitoring, and ongoing management of diabetes and related heart health concerns.

Full Blood Count:

• Haemoglobin

• Haematocrit

• Mean Cell Haemoglobin (MCH)

• Mean Cell Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC)

• Mean Cell Volume (MCV)

• Red Blood Cell Count

• Lymphocyte Count

• Eosinophil Count

Heart Health Markers:

• Total Cholesterol

Important Information Before Your Appointment:

·       You should fast for a minimum of 8 hours before providing a blood sample. This means you should not eat or drink anything, except for water. We encourage you to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated ahead of your appointment.

·       Please refrain from smoking or chewing gum prior to your appointment.

·       Do not stop taking any prescribed medication prior to your appointment.

·       Avoid rigorous exercise 48 hours prior to your appointment.

·       Please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated appointment time.

·       Please note this service is for over 18s only. Minors will not be tended to, and our team may ask for ID if you look under the age of 25.
