This test is for individuals aged 18 and over.

This blood test focuses on diabetes health markers and provides data for monitoring and managing glucose metabolism. It is used for early detection and ongoing management of diabetes or related metabolic conditions.

• Markers Covered:
• Glucose: Measures current blood sugar levels.
• HbA1c: Indicates average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months.
• Insulin: Assesses insulin levels to evaluate glucose regulation.
• C-peptide: Measures insulin production by the pancreas.

Important Information Before Your Appointment:

·       You should fast for a minimum of 8 hours before providing a blood sample. This means you should not eat or drink anything, except for water. We encourage you to drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated ahead of your appointment.

·       Please refrain from smoking or chewing gum prior to your appointment.

·       Do not stop taking any prescribed medication prior to your appointment.

·       Avoid rigorous exercise 48 hours prior to your appointment.

·       Please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated appointment time.

·       Please note this service is for over 18s only. Minors will not be tended to, and our team may ask for ID if you look under the age of 25.
