Beacon CK Test

Beacon CK Test (€65)

This test is for individuals aged 18 and over.

Developed in partnership with Beacon Hospital, the Beacon CK Test provides targeted screening of creatine kinase levels to support assessment of muscle health and muscle-related symptoms.

This blood test measures creatine kinase, an enzyme released into the bloodstream when muscle tissue is damaged, helping support investigation of muscle discomfort, weakness and ongoing monitoring.

Note: Bookings can only be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Changes made after this cut-off will not be accepted.

Important Information Before Your Appointment

Fasting: Fasting is not required for this test.

Hydration: Drink plenty of water beforehand.

Smoking & Gum: Avoid smoking or chewing gum before your appointment.

Medication: Continue prescribed medication as normal unless instructed otherwise.

Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours beforehand.

Arrival: Arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment.

Age Requirement: This service is for adults aged 18+. ID may be requested if you appear under 25.
