Liver Function & Fasting Lipid Profile (€65.00)

This blood test measures your Liver Function Tests (LFTs) and Fasting Lipid Profile. It is commonly requested before or during treatment with certain prescription medications to help monitor liver health and cholesterol levels.

Liver Function Tests assess how well your liver is working by measuring enzymes and proteins produced by the liver. The fasting lipid profile measures cholesterol and triglyceride levels, helping to monitor cardiovascular health and the effects of certain medications.

Note: Bookings can only be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Changes made after this cut-off will not be accepted.

Important Information Before Your Appointment

Fasting: Do not eat or drink (except water) for at least 8 hours before your test. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Smoking & Gum: Please avoid smoking or chewing gum before your appointment.

Medication: Continue taking any prescribed medication as normal unless advised otherwise by your healthcare professional.

Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours beforehand.

Arrival: Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
